The Kerchief Warmer is the perfect neck warmer when you need functionality, but also want to look cool.  The warmer is shaped along the top so it can be pulled up over your nose and not slip down, great for snowboarders and skiers!  You can also snug it up around your neck or nose using the drawstring along the top.  The front is shaped in a “v” so it will provide more coverage in the front without adding bulk at the back of your neck.

 Skill level: beginner with knowledge of knit and purl stitches and knitting in the round

Materials and supplies:
200-220 yards of worsted weight yarn 
Size US 8 (5mm) 16 “ circular knitting needles 
Additional Size US 8 or US 7 (4.5mm) 16” circular knitting needles 
stitch markers
36” nylon cord for drawstring (I like to use a shoestring!)
cord lock (you can find these at most craft and/or fabric stores)

Finished size (can easily be made larger or smaller):

Small/Medium:  7” high, 20” around, 12” long in front 
Large/X-Large:  8” high, 22” around, 14” long in front
