My commitment is creative innovation rather than imitation. All my knitting patterns and project bags are my own original designs and not an imitation or reproduction of someone else's work. It is not my desire to recreate someone else's ideas but rather to develop my own and offer them in the form of products you can enjoy. I have endless ideas for knitting designs and products that I hope will allow me to continually offer something new. In order to keep my product offerings fresh and to stay one step ahead of the imitators I offer items in either limited quantities or as one-of-a-kind designs. So visit often to see what goodies you might be able to grab before they are gone!
WHAT INSPIRES ME...
My shop started out of my love for beautiful and useful knitting supplies, and a desire to create my own knitting patterns. I get most of my inspiration from architecture (I especially love Frank Lloyd Wright!), nature, travel and history. You'll see elements of all four in the items I create. I love to use natural stones, wood and beach glass for my stitch markers, interesting fabric designs for my bags and architectural elements for my pattern designs. Having lived in four different areas of the country, the Midwest, the South, New England and the Southwest, has had a big influence on the patterns I design. Each area is so rich with inspiration! Visit my blog for new and different takes on my patterns.
I believe in supporting small business, especially US based business, so I source all of my supplies from local small businesses or from other online small businesses.
I'm also thrilled to be able to use all the proceeds from my Warmers for Warriors pattern collection to support Wounded Warriors Project. It's just a small way I can repay the service and sacrifice our military heroes give our country.
